I am so excited and proud of Christina Perri; I had to write a note here!
At the Beverly Hills Hotel, on January 24th, I saw her in person for the first time since she got back from her amazing tour. We had a mini voice lesson/warm-ups going through voice exercises in her room, and then I watched her perform her two hit songs A Thousand Years and Jar of Hearts at the Raise Your Voice Benefit for the Voice Health Institute honoring Dr. Steven Zeitels.
In the video above you can see her sing I Believe, the song she wrote for the twloha (To Write Love on Her Arms) tour. I couldn’t agree more with YouTube user Ya’ara Gurel, who commented: “She is one of the few people that actually sound the same live as in the music videos!”
On January 31st, her song A Thousand Years was featured in Glee on FOX.
Congratulations Christina on all your success – I can’t wait see what the rest of 2013 brings for you!
